IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE RENEWABLE AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY BUILDING UPGRADES ARE PROFITABLE FOR BUSINESSES AND AFFORDABLE FOR HOMEOWNERS
PACE CREATES THAT WORLD
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) is an innovative financing tool which building owners and developers can use to upgrade their building's energy performance, install renewable energy systems and reduce resource consumption with no money down and with the financing repaid through their property's tax bill. In the USA, PACE financing capital primarily comes from private investment sources.
HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE
PACE Alberta is a voluntary not-profit cooperative organization that rely on donations and memberships to carry out its vision and mission of a sustainable PACE Ecosystem in Canada.
PACE Alberta was established in 2017 to advocate for PACE financing in Alberta and Canada. PACE financing has established itself as a proven financial tool which is dramatically accelerating the implementation of GHG reducing measures in residential and commercial buildings. The tool is an innovative way of financing the measures with no money down and with the debt transferring to purchasers on resale making it uniquely attractive to both homeowners and businesses.
Our Services includes participating in Clean Energy initiatives and education at the community level and supporting legislative efforts at building a PACE Ecosystem at the municipal and provincial levels. We were involved in setting the stage for the passing of a Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) Act in Alberta (in 2018) and we participated in several PACE workshops in municipalities, community leagues and educational institutions across Alberta (between 2017-2019).
This year, 2022, we have set out the following actions which we hope to accomplish with your generous and kind support.
1. Participate in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Trade show and conference in Regina, SK, CA.
2. Attend the PACENation annual summit in New York, NY, USA.
3. Organize with the Conference Board of Canada (CBOC) roundtable on Scaling PACE in Toronto, ON, CA.
The activities form the thrust of efforts together the need to pursue enabling legislation for PACE programs across the country which recognizes the place of PRIVATE FUNDING, PRIVATE ADMINISTRATION, PROPER ELIGBILTY CRITERIA for the scale up and sustainability of the PACE Ecosystem.
With your generous support, we will reach more stakeholders across Canada including private investors, municipalities, contractors, home and commercial buildings owners and thus be able to create a sustainable pace ecosystem that supports the PACE Financing needs which will ultimately reduce global warming and Canada’s carbon footprint.
